A Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) is a condition review of a facility's building systems and assets carried out to support facilities management and long-range capital planning. It documents the condition of assessed components, flags deficiencies and renewal needs, and produces cost and timing information that facilities and finance teams can feed into their own budgeting and asset-management processes. At Brookstone an FCA uses the same ASTM E2018-24 assessment methodology as a Property Condition Assessment; the systems covered, level of asset detail, and planning horizon are set by the scope agreed in writing before the engagement begins.
